Interesting !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Only issue is, I don't see how this thing could hit 3600+ lbs.
"Predictably, the stiffer structure is also heavier than that of the outgoing car's."
Doe she not realize this frame is aluminum and not as heavy as the c6? I can see the extra systems being heavier, but not that much heavier. Also, not the aluminum frame.

Whoa whoa whoa, 3600!!!!! I thought these where around 3000. My m3 is that much wet and has a lot more creature comforts and is a lot nicer then a c7. I mean they're faster but 3600 for a 2 seat SPORTS CAR not grand tourer is ridiculous. CP I'd rather have a cayman s.

Your post is full of so much shit even politicians would cringe from reading it.

whole point of my post was that they were completely wrong in their article.
Though you could have been joking?

To be honest tl;dr. Saw the weight and kind of angered me that they would've put that much weight in the z06. Yes I believed it due to my Camaro and finding out gm is as dumb as most European's put it out to be. So glad I got rid of that lemon, only thing I was hoping to bring me back to American cars was the Z06 and hearing it would've weighed that much put me over the edge.

Not trying to be offensive, but that is a massively trolly paragraph going there.

You sir, are what we call a dumbass. The Base Stingray takes out a 911 C2s, and would absolutely decimate a cayman. Imagine what the Z06 would do...

Once you realize speed isn't the only thing about what I like in cars, then you should come back and reply. People enjoy different things, the base c7 left me underwhelmed and the auto transmission was absolute shit. Not saying it was slow, just didn't feel like it was exciting enough, I'd rather have a c6 z06 then a c7 by miles, it shows much more emotion. I'd rather have a boxster s then a c7 but I really don't need another impractical car to add to my collection. That being said I hated the regular c6 and loved the c6 z06 so I'm going to wait and see. If it really was 3600 pounds (which when I skimmed through the op, led me to believe) I would've just gave up on it.

Out of curiosity, what creature comforts does your M3 have that a C7 doesn't?

Back seats and a comfortable suspension and sound proofing are the main things. Gimmicks are nice but they get boring after a while. Most my trips are 160 miles and up one way, a corvette or gtr is just way to uncomfortable. The magnetic shocks helped (a lot actually) but it just felt jarring on the short test drive. The seats are just meh in the corvette. The car is a hell of a bargain at $50k though, it's just not for me in my current position. I'd rather have something comfortable and spacious that can take some twisties after a 200 mile drive and not have my back want to be surgically removed. The c7 is much better then the c6 in nvh though, but it's still set up as a sports car and not a grand tourer.

Pssst... C6 Z06 and ZR1 have aluminum frames also. The base models and Grand Sports did not.

Yeah this is true. But it's also touted everywhere how light their new frame is, and I am not positive but I'm pretty sure it's pretty similar in weight to the outgoing aluminum frame.
